　　根据发病年龄，缓慢进行智能衰退和人格改变，结合实验室检查，可考虑本征。确诊需根据脑病理。临床诊断可有10%的误诊率，主要根据许多高级神经活动量表（如mini mental statescore。MMSS;National Institute of Neurological and Communicative Disorders and Stroke-AD and Related Dis-orders Associetion criteria，NINCDS-ADRDA）等的测试。

　　须与Pick病、动脉硬化性精神病、脑病、老年性精神病、麻痹性痴呆等鉴别。
